Club History:
Led by Leah Urben, our founding and acting president, Saddle Up has grown to a large membership along the eastern US coast, which extends as far as New York and Florida.
Saddle Up started 1998. A group of 20 people who had trail ridden together and wanted to do more, began working together to promote equestrian activities in Cobb County and the surrounding areas. In hopes of preserving and assisting horses to remain a wonderful and available part to living in Cobb County as our land grows smaller and more industrial.

TRAIL ADVOCACY-
We support our local trail system at Kennesaw Mountain Battlefield Park by participating in trail workdays every month. We also do trail work on other trail systems in the North Georgia area. We strive to be good trail ambassadors by using the land lightly and minimizing impact to our trails. We recently funded the process for the Kennesaw Mountain Trail Club to become a 501C corporation. SaddleUp and the trail club have a close relationship and are committed to improving the horse trails. We work with the club to promote "SHARE THE TRAIL" so that riders and hikers can coexist safely.
EDUCATION-
We sponsor clinics on horsemanship, dressage, jumping, training, camping with your horse and de-spooking. Local playgroups gather to practice ground training.
